You should all know by now that I never pass up any piece of solid wood furniture that someone has designated as trash. I'm always on the lookout for curbside treasures in the rough. Even if it means they are broken or can't be used for their original purpose, if it's solid wood, there is always something to do with it!
I found this dresser on the side of the road and grabbed it up...in the rain!
The drawers were falling apart but I knew with such heavy solid wood and it's style, I'd do something with it!
I've been needing a designated shelving space for all my paint and decided this one would be perfect.
Because this project is for me and not resale, I never finish quite as fast and still need to add shelving boards, but I couldn't wait to share with you!
It gave me the perfect amount of space needed for paint and supply storage and I love it!
The top boards of the dresser were a little worn and loose, so I decided instead of painting the top, I used Java Gel Stain and then seal with 2 applications of the same brand Clear Coat. Awesome for many years of wear and use with laying tools on it, as well as projects and other supplies all the time.
Another reminder never to pass up what someone else has deemed for the landfill! I love how this turned out!
