NIGHTSTAND RE-DO: PAINT & WALL DECALS TO THE RESCUE

Earlier this week I showed you this poor, ugly and worn out nightstand. And unfortunately, there is just nothing exceptional about it. Boxy and square, it's just your average nightstand. My daughter wanted it painted pink & black and so I scrounged through my paint cabinet to see what I had on hand.

I had a tiny sample size of red latex paint and then I had some white....so I made my own pink.

I had some latex black leftover from an older project and I figured I'd give it a quick couple coats and be done.

But I felt sorry for Plain Jane, so I hunted the house for anything I might have to give her some sort of style. Bless her no curve or intricate detail shape...

And then it hit me! I had some leftover vinyl wall decals from my window topper project. And who says stickers can't go on furniture?

I cut out the portions I wanted to use and voila! At least she has a little bit of flair now?

Once it was all dry, I sprayed well with BullzEye Clear Satin to seal and I also coated the top heavily to avoid wear.
